As I mentioned yesterday I was going to share a Whimsie Doodles creation today and a small 'toot'! Well, wait no more...
I am so excited to say that my latest Whimsie Doodles card is featured on the CPS blog for their very first Facebook Friday Feature!! When Tami Mayberry, of CPS, contacted me about being a featured Friday artist, I about freaked out!! I was so stunned, excited, nervous, happy, etc... I didn't hesitate a second to say 'yes'!!
The card I am sharing today uses their latest sketch - CPS154 - as inspiration. I did take a couple liberties with the sketch, but otherwise I used it as-is.
The cutie sitting on the bale of hay, and the "Chicks dig me" sentiment, are two of the new Whimsie Doodles RUBBER stamps - Koale's Chicks and Chicks Dig Me.
I colored Koale and his little chicks with my COPIC markers. I have to say this is one of the few images I have colored with COPICs that I think I did a nice job on... the first try. Usually I have to color 3+ images to get one that is usable. (That should all end this weekend after my COPIC class in Shawnee, KS with Sally Lynn MacDonald!!)
I colored an extra chick and placed him on the sentiment block. The two buttons threaded with twine finished off the three small squares on the CPS sketch.
If you have a minute, please stop by CPS's Facebook Friday post and 'leave some love'. If you are on Facebook you can check out their Fan page and enter cards for your own chance to be featured on a future Friday!
