It's A Party!! Whimsie Wednesday Challenge 22

Are you a member of Whimsie Doodles' Paper Craft Planet group?! If not, head on over there today and get signed up - it is FREE. Each week a member of the design team posts a new challenge and yesterday's challenge, hosted by Nikki, was to use glitter.

When I was brainstorming the cards I wanted to make with the March releases, a light bulb went on when it came to the How Sweet rubber stamp set. There is stamp in this set that is meant to be a fabric liner falling outside of the bowl. I used it in the card above as the flags/pennants on the rope!! Isn't it great to find ways to expand the use of a stamp set?!

I stamped the flag/liner on 5 different patterned papers and trimmed them out by hand. Stringing them was simply done with a paper piercer and some twine. The clear card base is from ShortCuts and, in addition to the flags, I have placed the sentiment and some pink gems on the front. For the smaller card inside I cut strips of the same patterned papers for the front.

The glittered stickers were homemade and now I remember why they call glitter "the herpes of the craft world". Still, a little over a week later, I am finding glitter everywhere. At least it is pink. :)

Here is a look at the How Sweet rubber stamp set. You can buy it now for only $15 in the Whimsie Doodles online store.

This is so cute - I love the little pennants!

(Is it bad that I laughed out loud at your reference to "herpes"?!)
