Whimsie Wednesday Challenge 24 - Sketch

It is time for another Whimsie Wednesday Challlenge over at Whimsie Doodles' PCP group - WWC24!! This week Donna is our hostess and came up with a fun sketch to use. I hope you will check out the challenge and join us.

For the challenge card, I used the new Standing Baby Bear and Baby Sentiments digital stamps from Whimsie Doodles. There is also a match Sitting Baby Bear and I will be sharing a card using that image later this week.

The card base for this sample is 5" square and was cut from a Frosted Full Sheet from ShortCuts. As you can see in the detail photo below, when the card is closed you are able to see the elements inside, but the frosted cardstock mutes the colors a bit. Almost like using vellum, but sturdier.

The flowers were created using two different sized flower punches and an orange gem was added the center of each flower. To add a bit of dimension I folded the petals of the smaller flowers upward after attaching the gem.

On the inside I added a yellow patterned paper, so a personal message could be easily written, and then covered by the image block on the front.

See you soon with even more Whimsie Doodles creations.

And now a SPECIAL OFFER for fans and readers of my blog: Use the coupon code below (ALICIA10), the next time you shop at the Whimsie Doodles Online Store and receive 10% OFF your order!
