Whimsie Wednesday Challenge #42 - Somethin' Sweet

Today's card is for the newest Whimsie Wednesday Challenge, in which Andrea has challenged Whimsie Doodles fans to create a card that is 'sweet'. I decided to use the new Miyako Cookies digital stamp for this challenge. While fortune cookies aren't overly sweet, the cutie carrying them definitely is.

I colored Miyako in red and shades of gray and to bring some interest to the large area of black cardstock, I used Cuttlebug's 'Textile' embossing folder. The clear strip behind her head was created by cutting a piece of ShortCuts clear cardstock to size, then stamping the Chinese lanterns with StazOn.

To find out more about the challenge, including how you can enter to WIN A FREE Whimsie Doodles image, make sure to check out the challenge blog post.
