It is officially Fall - my most favorite time of the year! To celebrate the changing of seasons I have created a card today for SCS's new CAS Challenge (Fall Colors) using an oldie, but a goodie, rubber stamp set from Artful INKables - Natural Heritage.
The layout for this card was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday sketch (157). I have never participated in this challenge before, but I just loved working with the sketch. For my card I rotated the base and did some stitching on the dot-embossed vanilla piece and the patterned paper strip on the right. The image was matted and adhered to a scalloped circle using dimensionals. The bow was tied using the Bow Easy tool, then adhered with a Glue Dot. Three orange gems finished off the card.
For the coloring on the wreath I did a bit of pointillism for the 'leaves'. After stamping the image in a light brown, I used 4 different COPIC markers (2 reds & 2 oranges) to make tiny dots around the branches. I have been wanting to try this technique ever since my friend Melissa used it for the image background on THIS card.
Natural Heritage (shown above) at Artful INKables' online store - regularly $9.95, it is now on sale for only $6.65!
Think INK Challenge (#29). For this round Jackie has issued a color challenge and you have three different combos to choose from! Get all of the details HERE. You could be the next Think INK host(ess)!! I will be back on Monday with my card for this challenge.
