Harvest Crow Card- Artful INKables

I am back with another card using the first Artful INKables digital stamp set - Harvest Crow. You may recognize the name of this set from our blog hop last week. I have had lots of fun playing around with the images and sentiment from this set. I am not usually too fond of crows, but this little guy has stolen my heart.

The layout for this card was inspired by cookiebaker's card on SCS. For last week's CAS challenge (#86) we were to use the sketch from her card to create our own piece. I used some papers from last year's DCWV falll matstack - Indian Summer. Once my image was colored, I sponged some Desert Sand ink around the colored image to soften the bright white that it was printed on.

All of the paper pieces were machine-stitched together and I even did a little zig-zag on the image to tie it in. After covering the back of a clear button with the same paper as the image mat, I tied it onto the card front with some twine.

Couple reminders...
  • There is still a bit of time to participate in the Artful INKables blog hop and enter to win the digital set! Check out THIS post for the details.
  • The latest Think INK challenge is still open for a little over a week. Read all of the details HERE.
