Hospitality Thank You Card - Woodware USA Challenge 15

It is time for another fun challenge at the Woodware USA blog! This week they are asking you to create a shaped card (WWUSAC15). For my card I used the NEW Patch A House stamp set from their Spring 2011 Collection.

For the base of the card I folded a kraft card base, then die cut it with scalloped circle; making sure to leave part of the die hanging off the edge on the top. I paper-pieced the house and one of the tree images from the stamp set. A couple circles were layered to fit on the front. One was white and embossed with large dots and on the other I used blue and green patterned papers to create a landscape.

This set is SO fun to paper-piece, with the quilted look of the image stamps. I hope you will check out the challenge details post HERE and play along with us this week.

Just the details… (1) dots of red glitter were added to each of the dots on the stamped tree, (2) the heart on the stamped door was adorned with red glitter and the paper-pieced grass was adhered on top, (3) the layers were placed on the card using foam squares for more depth.

Challenges used for this card:
Woodware USA - #15 Shaped Card
Alphabet Challenge Blog - P is for Paper Piecing
One Stitch At A Time - #50 Anything But A Square
