Pin-spired: Photo-In-A-Photo School Edition

Pin ItAre you like me and have been 'pinning' like crazy at Pinterest?! I have tons of pins (304 as of right now) that I hope to utilize in real life some day. So far I have tried this Hawaiian Crock Pot Chicken (it was easy AND delicious) and was inspired by this photo (also pictured below) to start a new first-day-of-school tradition.

My daughter started kindergarten today and I thought it would be fun to start doing 'picture within a picture' shots for all of her first-day-of-school photos. Today she held a picture from last Fall - her first day of Preschool. Next year she will hold the picture you see above. I know by the time she is in Middle School, the PreK picture will be too small to probably make out, but it will be so fun to compare pictures from year-to-year.

I was able to get the 12x18 print at Costco for only $2.50 (compared to Walgreens for like $12) and I bought the frame at Michaels for $7.50 with a coupon. Next year it will just be the cost of the print, since the frame is already ours.
