Here is my "Raindrops" digital layout from the July '09 issue of SheetLoad of Cards.

I created this piece for our "Beyond the Card" section. In each issue we create pieces that use the new sketch, but are not cards. Since the sponsor is a digital stamp company, Squigglefly, I used their April Showers stamp as a main image on the page.

I love Autumn and adorable Little Boy and Girl stamps. C.C. Designs has came out with their first-ever stamp kit, that combines both!! My new stamps should arrive in the mail next week - Happy Early Anniversary to Me!! ;)

Here is my "Happy" card from the July '09 issue of SheetLoad of Cards.

The image on this card, Party Time, is from our July sponsor - Squigglefly. For this sample I rotated Barbara's sketch and placed my patterned paper on the inside of the ShortCuts Clear Card Blank. The "image box" on the front of the card will hide any personal message written inside.

SheetLoad of Cards - Simple Special Stunning - July '09

It is time for the July edition of Simple Special Stunning at the SheetLoad of Cards blog, featuring samples by Jessica George.

Each month one of our artists will show three different cards that use the current layout. It is a good way to show how SheetLoad is geared toward papercrafters of all levels.

Here is my "You're Fabulous" card from the July '09 issue of SheetLoad of Cards.

The image on this card, Can Do Girl, is from our July sponsor - Squigglefly. I used my Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder for the gray cardstock and framed my stamp with a Nestabilities Labels Four frame. The sentiment (You're Fabulous) was stamped on a file tab punch out and adhered to the inside of the card; still visible from the front.

Faux Tile Background - Sympathy Card

One of my friend's recently lost her Grandfather. I thought I would send her a little card to let her know I am thinking of her, and keeping her entire family in my prayers.



I took inspiration for the background from this card on SCS. It was a messy and tedious job creating the "faux tile" background, but I like the way it turned out.



This is the first time (that I can remember) that I finished the inside of a card. I keep seeing insides of cards that look gorgeous, so I thought I would try it out. This also gives me room to write without it having the dark, kraft, background.
